This section features some of the 2D art I’ve been able to produce as a student and as a professional in the video game industry. All graphics were digitally sketched and painted with Adobe Photoshop, and most of the user interface items were designed with Adobe Illustrator.
The first image includes promotional graphics for the final team game project I was part of during The Guildhall. It features the box art, poster and a giant 8′ banner currently in display at the school. I achieved an Honors award for my work with the banner and had a chance to present it to the public during our graduation exhibition ceremony.
You can also see the first video game project I worked on: “The Galatea Effect”, a 2D action game made with the Torque X 2D engine. It was developed by a 4 man team where I served as art lead and animator. It won ”Best Overall Game” in the fall 2008 Guildhall game exhibition. Here is the trailer:
As the only artist in the team I was in charge of creating all character, background and animation sprites, pickups, splash screens, particle effects and box art. It is the first video game I had the pleasure of working on and I consider myself lucky by having been assigned such a great team.
All the user interface elements shown in this gallery belong to the work I created as an employee of Lifeline Studios, spanning over 6 different applications currently in development for PC, consoles, and mobile platforms.
